Redwork and Quilting

Today saw quite a lot of progress on the blocks using the red and white fabrics. I hope to get a lot more done on them tomorrow, and I'm happy to report that I'm liking the way it's turning out. I've decided that there are too many red blocks to even consider doing embroidery in each block. So I think I need to fill in the gaps with machine quilting, but that can be decided when it's finished.

I finished the last of the redwork snowmen a couple of days ago, but they have been put to one side as I work on the red and white fabrics, and I must get back to the machine quilting of the QOV quilt.

I thought I'd share a couple of photo's of both redwork and quilting.

This table runner was made for a swap and sent to Australia. I kinda wish I'd made another one and kept it for myself.
At Christmas time I decided I needed a table runner for the small table that was going to hold the bauble filed vase, candles and snowmen. So this is what I came up with.
I can't remember exactly which occasion it was but I made this little redwork bag for a friend of mine last year. In fact I don't think there was a particular occasion, just because.

Last is a photo of a quilt that I made for my DH as a gift when I came over to meet him for the first time in 2003

I must admit that I spend way too much time looking at other blogs, being inspired and getting ideas for future projects.

Someone on another blog posed the question: Do you blog stalk?.. I had to have a giggle, but when I stopped and thought about it, I thought well I suppose I do to some extent, as I just don't have the time to leave a comment on each blog that I visit. So my question to you is : Do You Blog Stalk?

Love your embroidery on the table runners. I'm starting to think more now about doing embroidery on some of my pieces as a fill-in. Do I stalk ... you bet! :o)
