Things have been very quiet, sewing wise in my house this last week. Dh is still home from work, and driving me nutty. I think if I were a drinker (which I am not) I'd be well on my way to a good hangover by now. I've made many attempts to get things done in the sewing room, but I'm sure you all know what it's like with a sick male in the house, not much gets done other than an extra mess to clean up. He has another visit back to the doc on Monday, so I'm hoping and praying he gets a release to go back to work on Tuesday. I do love him, but just not under my feet, or in my face....lol...
Our visit with Hollie has been canceled due to hubby not being well. To say she was disappointed would be an understatement, so we're hoping we can organise an extra visit into next month some time. I'll keep the giveaway open for the next week and draw the winner on the date previously posted.
I've made a little progress on Jenna's pink quilt and hope to be able to get it to the flimsy stage by early next week, ready to pin out and start on the machine quilting. I'm hoping I can get it finished in time to post to her for her birthday next month.
I've chosen my pattern and some of the fabrics for the 4 season swap. Today as a reward for endurance of dh, he's taking me to a lovely little quilt store not too far from here to shop for the rest of the fabrics for the swap quilt (photo's later). As the centre blocks of Jenna's quilt are paper pieced I think I'll look for foundation paper while I'm there.
We have a forecast of 88 today so if I'm not too pooped from shopping, I think I'll end up mowing the lawn, it looks like a jungle out there and dh isn't able to do it yet and I can't stand to look at it the way it is any longer.
Happy Stitching and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
I received a lovely phone call from "Miss Charlotte" on Thursday to let me know the angels had landed safely at her home.

Miss Charlotte may be landing safely at your home soon! You know what I mean! I too have had dh under foot all week and love him enough to know he NEEDS to go back to work on Monday!! Can you tell I need some personal time??
I hope your DH is better soon. I've only had to deal with a sick DH once and I was sick at the same time.
I've been to tell you that I love the bags you made. They beautiful.
Hope the hubby is better soon....understand that feeling. :)
Enjoy the cooler day and have fun at the quilt shop. Hope hubby is better soon.
I hope your hubby is well soon and not driving you to distraction! LOL!
Ur quilt for Charlotte was gorgeous!! She is a lucky girl!! I really hope DH gets better soon.
Hope dh feels better soon! Quilting therapy always puts a smile! Enjoy!
The job of mowing on a hot day doesn't sound too exciting but hopefully you can also squeeze in some time for rewarding yourself.
I hope your husband gets better soon! I know how hard it can be with sick men hanging about the house. My husband is not too bad but my 21 year old son --- oh boy...
You are so sweet to have made such a lovely quilt for Charlotte. I'm sure she will treasure it forever :))
Sure hope DH is well. I thoroughly understand about him being underfoot. I'm the same way...love the guy...but need my own time. I find it absolutely amazing how when they are sick...they can't move and need to be waited on. I remember being sick with little kids, he had to go to work...and I had to get up and get things for myself. Oh well, still love him anyway!
