Bren has suggested to me several times that I should make and sell the bucket bags. So I'd like to ask some advice.
1. If you were not able to make these yourself, would you consider buying one?
2. If so what do you think would be a reasonable amount to pay , remembering the cost of fabrics and time ?
3. What would be your preferred method of selling, eBay, etsy etc?
4. Having looked at them, as a sewer are there any changes you would want made to them?
If you have any ideas or suggestions that I may not have included here please let me know.
Thanks for taking the time to give me your input.

I believe I'd purchase one of your Bucket Bags (I'm bagophobic - LOL) but I don't have any idea how much I'd be willing to pay. I do understand the cost of goods and time though. Maybe you could do just a few and see how it goes or possibly take a few special orders. Something to ponder, Linda. :-)
Id try the Etsy shop Linda, if u put something on Ebay, dont u leave it open for bids??? As far as price, i dont think u ever get ur money back regarding the "time" that goes into making something, all i can suggest is to think about how much ud be willing to pay!
I think ill have to buy one, i can only decipher some of the French in the tutorial lol
Hi, Linda! I'd definetely would want to buy one of the bucket bags (although I saw the tutorial now is in English too, so perhaps I'll try making one *lol*). I think I'd try Ebay (never figured out how to find my way around Etsy shops - can find Rose and Tazzie, but that's it *lol*) On Ebay you can use a minimum prize limit, and open for bids over that. I had a quick look at the list of materials, and I think that in Norwegian prizes, they will cost about 450kr (ca $78)to make, and then you will have to add the cost of time spent...
Best of luck figuring it out!
Yes I would be amongst those wanting to buy one.
Where to sell - I like Ebay and shop there for other items
What to charge - have not got an idea - it is always so hard to find a good price. Maybe set it up for bidding with a minimum, covering what you feel you need to have.
I can possibly be one to make one too.
I actually like the e-bay idea..LOTS of non quilters go there, who can not make there own bucket totes. You could picture some with different things inside..children's books, gardening supplies, make up...you get it.
WOW, Linda, you answer my prayers ! I would definitely choose Etsy Shop : I recently ordered a piecing mat to Tazzie, and it worked like a breeze : quick, SAFE - secure online shopping - and very clear. One hour later, I got a msg from Tazzie, and five days later the precious parcel was in my mailbox !
Now the most difficult questions about the PRICE. What you do is priceless, you time devoted is priceless, your splendid color choice is priceless... You can only start to value with your fabrics, and then it's up to you (don't forget to add the shipping cost - global priority mail - for international, AND do not mention any value on the green customs sheet, but "fabric gift", or so... otherwise we have to pay (high) additional costs).
Being curious, I read the other's comments and my enthusiasm was a bit "tempered" (LOL) : Anne Ida mentions 470 NK (for the fabrics only)= 77 US$.... = about 55 Euros (+ additional costs : time devoted, shipping,... !). Although I LOVE that cute circle bag, I'm afraid I couldn't spend that money...
Which doesn't mean it's not worth it, Linda ! (I hope you understand what I mean, dear).
Voila.....
Biiig hugs & smiles to you !

Linda~
I think you should sale the totes. I would say price wise (as a customer not a sewer) $45.00 to $50.00. Most who don't sew do not realize how much time and money goes into something only what they are willing to pay.
You could try the lates and popular fabric combos even if you don't care for them. Heather Bailey, Amy Butler, Anna Maria Horner and Joel Dewberry are some of the most popular.
Etsy is the way to go to sell items. It is 20 cent per item for four months. I can't remember the % they take but it is pretty low.
I can't think of any changes I would make. I really like the tote.
I would go Etsy and here is why. I don't own a credit card and don't do Pay Pal. If I want to purchase something from you on Etsy I just email you privately and we work something out. Also Etsy seems to be very friendly.
I think I would try to make these buckets in different sizes or with different pockets/fabrics so that you could do a price range. I wouldn't pay $75 for them because I am a cheapie! Not that they aren't worth it but I don't have that kind of spending money laying around. I would buy one if they were reasonable!!! I love them.
I don't have any advice as I'm not much of a shopper but I am interested to see what others have to say.
I have only tried ebay so I can´t compare. It is very difficult to set a prize on something you do, it takes a lot of time but people are not ready to pay for it.
