Making A Move

With all the goings on of this last weekend I forgot to buy the new screws for the rocking chair. So today I spent the day prepping part of the applique for the wall hanging. This evening hubby and I went to look at an available home...... We move in two weeks time. So as you can imagine the next two weeks will be filled with boxes, newspaper and buckets of hot water. No matter how many homes I've moved into I'm yet to move into a clean one, but this is no reason for me to leave this house in the same condition. I'm determined to leave it spic and span.

Tomorrow I'll make a start in the sewing room and empty it out and pack it up so that it can be used to store all the filled boxes. I think I can pack up a house with my eyes closed. That's what comes from having a father who was a builder and always renovating a house then selling it and starting another. Hopefully our next move will be into a home of our own....

So wish me luck with the boxes and newspaper, and I hope you'll all put in a stitch or two on my behalf.

Happy Stitching.

In April I made my 24th and final move. It's a great way to get reorganized and your head on straight, and a great way to get rid of all the extra fluff that we manage to hang on to.

Good Luck, sending good thoughts your way.

So glad you found a place quickly! God is faithful! It is not in Rockford, but God's time is perfect, right?

I don't envy your moving, but hope it goes as smoothly as possible. I'm sure whoever moves into your current house will be very appreciative to find a clean place to live. I'll be thinking of you!

I've moved a lot too and it sounds like you do it much better than I do. You should give lessons. LOL!

Good luck Linda.
Preparing to move isn't fun but just think you might find all kinds of projects you'd forgotten about in your sewing room!
I hope your new house is everything you could wish for.

Well congratulations on your new home. That was quick. It is so nice to move into a clean home. It'll be nice to move in this weather instead of the heat of July or August. Make sure to mark all your sewing material boxes well, I always read about how people have trouble finding that favourite pair of scissors, etc. after a move!

Congratulations, Linda, on finding a new home quickly! Nothing like having to move to make us do some serious tossing out of "excess baggage"...lol. Better to get rid of it now than to have to drag it to the next place! Hope you're settled in soon! Enjoy the new digs!

It seems to be a global problem that people leave houses dirty when they move. Good luck with the moving.
