Remembering

I'm reminded of today's date and the impact it had on me sitting in my comfy home in Australia. The impact that followed that day was a phone call from my son who was serving in the Australian Navy telling me that he was going to war. I am blessed to still have my son with me, so without this turning into an emotional roller coaster ride for myself or for anyone else, I just want to let you know that I'm praying for you if you have, or have had someone serve to protect our freedom.

"They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
Lest we forget."

I am so glad that you still have your son. It must be terrible to loose someone in war.

I'm very happy your son is ok. One of my nephews was wounded in Iraq but thankfully he has no permanent injuries. His brother is over in Afghanistan now. I too pray for all our soldiers and thank them for their sacrifice.

My 20yo daughter will go to Afghanistan next Fall. I'm simply numb.

Today was a day of reflection for all people.
