Limped back home on a doughnut tyre )what odd tyres), get wallet and off to the tyre centre. 3 hours later the tyre's replaced. Not feeling quite so blessed at this point. Head back into town for shopping and managed to get everything done, and returned home by 9.30 pm. Yes that's right 9.30.... Oh my gosh was I ever pooped, and a little ticked off that my Saturday was completely over and nothing to show for it, except groceries and half a roll of batting at 1/2 price (bonus).
Yesterday wasn't much better. I totally lost my weekend, and like I said nothing to show for it except for a messy house.
I decided as today didn't look like it was going to be much better and the place was a mess, I may as well add to it and spend the day in the kitchen. So we have the crock pot going with tonight's dinner, a yummy beef casserole, and as I type this delicious cobbler is cooking for tonight's dessert.
Plus I managed to make some mini meatloaves, done in the muffin tins and a regular sized one which will all go into the freezer to another nights dinner and sandwich filling for DH.DH and I have decided it's time for a move as the house we're in has terrible inefficient heating and cooling and neither of us want to go through another winter here. We did have thoughts of moving inter-state, but realised that, that wouldn't work when it came time for our monthly visits with Miss Hollie. so we've decided to stay in OK until she's graduated from school (sorry Bren). So now I have the wonderful job of finding another house to move into, and the thought of all that packing,arrrrg..... one of my pet dislikes and DH suggested last night that it would be nice if we could find another house within two weeks before we start the Bible Study in our home. Thanks honey........
On the quilting front, zero. I've started the machine quilting on the monster that was in the last post, but I think that may be put on hold for a while and I'll just have to settle for hand work at the moment until things have settled down and we're moved.
Happy Stitching and thanks for allowing me to vent a little.

It sounds as though Saturday was just one of those days but you made up for it on Sunday with some yummy comfort food.
Did you have to torment me with a picture of that dessert?
Good luck with the house move both buying and selling.

Whoa - what a week end! Week end like that are exhausting. Enjoy your day today and good luck with the house search!
Yummy, that cobbler looks absolutely DELICIOUS! I'd love to have that recipe. I can even beg and grovel if necessary. ;)
Good luck on the house hunt & subsequent move.

Yes! It is very difficult to take the decision to move and doing it could be very exhausting.
But...trust me, then you will be very happy.
That course must be very tasty.
ciao ciao
Oh my gosh what a horrible weekend!! Well it can only get better. Mine was great until yesterday when I had a 3 hour bit with the flu.
I can not say a thing about your decision to stay in OK! It would be near impossible for me to leave one of my children 2 states away too!!
Some weekends are just not meant to be, Linda. One would think the weekend was meant for fun and relaxing (and sewing!). Who said life could get in the way, anyhow? lol
However, the consulation for the lost Saturday looks like some great homecooked food on Sunday.....cobbler looks yummy!Hope your coming week is better.
Much luck on your house search. I'm sure you will find something to suit your needs and keep you close to your daughter.
What a day Saturday was. Good luck with the house hunting!
What a crappy way to spend part of your weekend. I hope you enjoyed your dinner and your stitching time today.
I'm exhausted just reading about your busy weekend. The cobbler looks yummy.
Good luck with house hunting.
Gosh, I need a nap just from reading your weekend! Yea, I read you, totally unproductive and yet out of your control! Good luck with house hunting!
When I got to the end of your post I realised my face was scrunched all up. I am sympathetic to your troubles. The routine is out of whack and will be for some time with moving most likely. Well a new house is exciting too. Hope your get through it all smoothly.
I feel for you. I too have left the checkbook at home and traveled 60 miles before realizing it. Luckily we had a debt card. I think your day would have made me quite grouchy! LOL.
Not a Saturday that I would want to repeat . . . hope things are starting to look up. Enjoy your house hunting *s*
Bad Saturday, but at least the State Trooper was nice. Hope you find a nice house quickly. The food looks great.
Oh my -- moving. I empathize, I hate packing and unpacking. We've been in our home for 5 years now and I don't think I have ever completely unpacked. I'm slowly working on some of it as I re-organize the house, but still! Good luck to you in finding a house!
