That Mess

That mess is now cleaned up and organised. What a relief and what a difference. I can't stand to be surrounded by mess and it was just getting the better of me, so here we are all cleaned up.

Finally a cutting table that I can get to and use.

Still not sure where I'm going to put the roll of batting, but that's the least of my problems at the moment.
And a sewing table that isn't covered in weeks of mess.
Wow there actually was a bed under all that mess that was there yesterday. Each pile is a project in various stages. I have no idea what I'll do with these piles when Hollie comes home. Hopefully a couple of them will be gone, completed and out of the sewing room.
All those boxes and folders were on the floor waiting for me to finish painting the little table. The last coat was applied yesterday and by late afternoon was brought inside and put back where it belongs.
It's so nice to walk into a clean and tidy sewing room. I wonder how long it will last?

Happy Stitching.

VERY nice! I am sure it will not last long...if it does then there is a problem! I KNOW why those 9 patches are still on the cutting table....LOL Don't tell!

What about one of those shoe or sweater hanging thingys for the closet? You could put a project into each shoe/sweater hole.

I know Walmart/Target/Kmart carry those. I will find a photo and email you...

I predict it will last until the next burst of creative activity. For the life of me, I can never keep my room looking neat and tidy *s*

That looks great! It is funny that I don't like messy areas and such. Yet when I am being creative I am very messy1 Go figure!

I love getting organized! It's really my favorite thing to do. I had my husband put shelves way up high, next to the ceiling, with just enough to put the small plastic bins we stitchers love. I labeled them so I could see what's in each one and they are wonderful - really cleared stuff off my table. Try it - you'll like it!

Nothing like sprucing up to get the creative juices flowing.

Are you using the space under the bed? You can find plastic storage boxes that easily slide underneath. Great place to store projects that you are working on and everything can stay together, no worries about little pieces getting lost.

I have had a tidy up of my sewing room too, and it sure does re-energise you to get going again.

It must have been cleaning week, I walked into my sewing room, Mon took a look and did the same thing. I don't want to sew in it now I don't want to mess it up. LOL But that won't stop me.

It looks good now but when you get a burst of creativity it will be messy again. I can never keep my room clean and organized.

I don't mind how long it lasts, I envy you having a space that can become a mess. I have to keep my stuff tidy as it's in the dining room.

Hang the batting from the ceiling! For the projects in stacks check into the huge glad ziploc bags. I love them for keeping my projects together.

Wow, what a good job! I love it when it is all cleaned up, but I mess it right back up too quickly.

Oooh...this looks so nice and now you have to relocate it for DD to come home from college. Sigh...the sacrifices we make! Is there any porch space available? Perhaps a tent in the back yard...for DD? LOL, just kidding! Sort of. I'm conflicted!
