Well maybe you just might have to do it again Andrea. This time it's a notion/tool.
I was reading my latest copy of Country Threads and got down to reading the ads (sad isn't it?). Anyway there was an ad/article about a new pencil on the market. Now the Aussie girls have probably already heard/seen this already. Sewline fabric pencil, a mechanical pencil with ceramic leads, can be washed off, or erased with the built-in eraser. Comes in a variety of colours. So the hunt began to find one of these, I just had to have it....a bit like a chocolate addict, I'm that way when it comes to things that make my embroidery an easier more pleasant process.

So this is where the service part of the post comes in. I found a quilt store here in the US that carried them, Florida to be exact. The only one I could find mind you, all the other stores were either Australia, New Zealand or England. So a quick phone call to one of the most friendly helpful ladies I think I've had the pleasure to encounter on the phone. It's already winging it's way to my mail box. So if you're like me and just have to have one then this is the store to visit.
Happy Shopping.

You are a dreadful temptress!! I would love to get one of these (and the glue pen LOL)
Can it be used to mark quilting lines for handquilting?
Hmmm...I don't know if I should read your blog anymore. I went to that website and spent $125! Well I did get some AMAZING stuff so I guess it is ok.
Thanks for the link!
I think I've read that same ad. I'll be waiting for your product review.
I'm curious about its use for marking lines for hand quilting too -- did you read anything on that?
I don't think I need one of those....but it's nice to know you share those good buys with us. :)
I really am trying to be good......
Let us know how it works....I use a washable blue marker now, but find that if I "glisten" (cause ladies don't sweat) that it can disappear.....
I bought one of these at a quilt show in May - you will be pleased with your purchase - it is great to work with!
Our LQS has these AND another neat product by SewLine....a fabric glue pen. It comes with one glue stick IN the pen and one refill. (Refill packs are available, too, of course.) It is great for holding little bits of fabric in place until you sew them...and so much less awkward than using pins to hold the tiny pieces in place. I got one of these and love it. I didn't get the marking pencil, but maybe I'll get that the next time I'm in the shop. I'm glad you found a place to get one.
Great pencil isn't it? And did you say half price fabric?? OMG I've gotta run!!! LOL!!!
Far too many tempting ideas on today's visit! I will be heading straight over to hancock's in a minute but had to say i love the 4 seasons swap quilt, lovely! Tracey
You just won an award, check out my blog.
I've seen them over the last few months here in various shops...but wasn't sure how well they worked...looks like from the comments everybody is waiting for a review...any chance you could do one for us :o)
Linda - today I am strong and I will not be tempted again LOL ! Looks a bit interesting though . .
I went to the website and was severely tempted.....but resisted...just!!! thanks for the link.....!
Ooh, that does look like a must-have to me. I have a terrible time with marking pencils. Everytime I sharpen them, they're good for awhile, and then the lead falls out! It's either the sharpener I'm using or the pencil(or the pencil user?). I can't wait to hear how you like this wonderous gadget!
I am getting one of those on my wish list, thank you!
Not sad at all! Whenever I'm lucky enough to get hold of an Aussie magazine I read it cover to cover (including ads.) several times over.
This pen looks great. I need to find me one. You did a good enabling job :)
