More Lovely Mail, Names

These two books found their way into my mail box this week. That's it for book purchases for a while, I think I have enough to keep me busy and out of mischief for quite some time.

I received this lovely parcel in Monday's mail from Tammy.
Photo's a bit blurry in this one.
But not in this one, aren't these scrummy fabrics and a lovely needle pebble.
Tammy sent these as a thank you for the pincushion swap, what a sweetie she is. Thank you so much Tammy, they are simply wonderful. You'll see these sprinkled through a quilt very soon.

Now I need your help, for a name. Without giving too much away just yet can you give me ideas for a name where there are: butterflies, ants, ladybugs and picnics?

Happy Stitching.

The Jelly Roll Quilts book was written by the owners of my local quilt store and I bought it as soon as it was published - I haven't made anything yet though.

Love to hear what you think of the Jelly roll book... need ideas for some rolls that are hanging around at my place... and have been looking at that one! How thoughtful of Tammy to send the lovely fabrics... great idea of her...you did a great job in organizing the swaps!
And what kind of name did you have in mind???

I'm not sure what your name is needed for, maybe a quilt? I'd call it simply 'Summertime'.

How about Picnic Parade. Summertime Fun or Wonders of Summer. Just some thoughts. Good Luck!

i would be interested to know what you think of the jelly roll quilts book as have been thinking about getting it - keep looking at it on amazon but have resisted temptation so far!

What's the old song "at the Ladybug's Picnic" or was that on Sesame Street - I don't remember, but it is the first thing that popped into my head when you listed the items.

What a sweet gift and lovely fabrics. My choices for a name--A Bug's Picnic or Simply Buggy or Insects on Parade. That's a tough one to come up without seeing it. New blog look? I like it!

Hi Linda, such a sweet gift for all the hard work you put into the swap. I'm interested in your view on the books.
OK, for the name the first thing that I thought about was "Guess who's coming to dinner". Could just see all the bugs joining in on the picnic.
Hugs,
Bonnie

I'm glad you like your goodies :)

Hello, it sounds like a fun project! There has been an advert on the TV recently that is something about Ladybugs and picnics - the tune is really catchy, but I can't quite catch it just at the moment! I think it might be a mayonnaise advert! Anyway, some words form the song might be good.

How about 'A Bug Day Out'?
I haven't commented on your blog before but I've certainly been reading it!

Now you have new books and new fabric so you can start a new project! Can't help with the name...I struggle to think of names for my quilts or titles for blog posts!
