Thank you to everyone who sent get well wishes. Today's the first day I feel anything like my old self, although a younger version would be even better.... I'm waiting patiently for this to arrive in my mail box from Aussie. All the Aussie girls will know all about it, but for those of you outside Australia, this mixture is like drinking tar, the most revolting flavoured mixture ever created. But it's the best thing since sliced bread for those of us who are allergic to everything on the market, including over the counter medicines and prescriptions. I just hope customs doesn't decide to seize it. Once I get a few doses of this into my system I'll be well on the road to recovery.
With a week or more out of action I'm behind on my Angel swap parcel and realised a few days ago that the time to mail out the SSCS is fast approaching. So it will be head down and tail up until I get these items finished and in the mail.
Last week I received a lovely parcel from Pat, (waiting for the camera batteries to charge) and even ventured out to shop for the SSCS. So I hope to have photo's of stitching items to show you next time rather than a boring bottle of cough mixture.....
Thanks again for your get well wishes.
Happy Stitching.

So glad you're better..
I'm finally feeling better myself. Probably could have used some of that medicine from down under. But at least I'm not still on the couch.
I'm having a give away along with a bunch of others... come see...
So glad to hear you're on the road to recovery. Your medicine bottle looks and sounds vile. Why is it the good stuff ALWAYS has be taste so bad?
Lovely to hear you might be back with the living soon....
Take it easy and don't push yourself...
Hi Linda...Glad to hear that you're feeling better. Take it slow and easy;)
I hope you are soon all better and no longer needing the stuff in that bottle.
Hope you feel even better tomorrow Linda!
It's good to know that you're on the road to recovery - have you gone through the grumpy, nothing-to-wear, nothing-to-do phase yet? When you have a little time I'd love to hear more about your medicine - I can't take antibiotics and very few other prescription medicines, so am interested in this. Is it a tonic? What does it do?
Glad to hear you a feeling a bit better Linda....and good old AMCAL to the rescue...
great to hear you are feeling better - that mixture sounds awesome.!
xx
Linda.....so happy to hear that you are feeling better....hugs, B
Hi Linda
I grew up taking that mixture, so I sympathize with you over the taste! Glad you are on the road to recovery.
Blessings

Glad to hear you are on the mend. Hope you are up and sewing soon. Have a great day!
Hope you feel better soon.....I don't mind the taste of Senega and Amonia..it's a bit like aniseed and sure does do the trick when your feeling lousy..
Hugs

Hey Linda, there is another medicine you might want to try. It's not as toxic as the ammonia/senega you have. Its only available from Canada and Canadian pharmacies are online. It's called Buckley's and it's made from pine gum. Its also for people who are allergic to every chemical, and now when all the cold medicines are dangerous for children, only Buckley's children's formula is safe. There is Buckley's flu pills, and I have never had anything work better. If you have multi-chemical sensitivity like my mom and I, I worry about you ingesting ammonia. Go to http://www.canadadrugs.com/

I certainly do hope you get well real soon.
So glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better and on the road to recovery. Hope that your Aussie medicine gets her soon. Take care!
I'm so glad you are feeling better:) I am working like crazy also to get my stitchers angel and my cottage blocks done then onto my SSCS done...time is moving way to fast:)
I am so sorry that you've been sick Linda. I am glad your on the mend. Did you drink that nasty stuff?? You must have really felt bad.
I sure hope you are feeling more like yourself these days! My Hubby and I had pneumonia (not at the same time) and we were told that it would take 6 weeks before our energy level would be back to normal. That is a hard thing to believe, but totally true! Remember to take care of yourself and not push yourself too hard!
I'm so glad you're feeling better! That was a nasty bout you had there. Is there really Ammonia in that? I thought that was poisen lol!!
That stuff sounds like it would kill you, not cure you!
I can't do things like that, they just hit bottom and come back up.
I'd love to take part in one of your swaps sometimes. I like your blog and all things quilty.

Ugh! That looks gross but it must have done the trick because you are now better?
