All Done

I've just put the last stitch in the last item to be sewn for Christmas gifts. Three parcels ready to mail tomorrow. Unfortunately they won't arrive in time for Christmas, but the receivers already know this.
Today saw me running around the sewing room like a chook with it's head chopped off, trying to get Jenna's gift finished. I think I started at 10 am and finished at 8pm, with only bathroom breaks.
You will remember this picnic quilt that I made earlier in the year.

As it's a picnic quilt, I wanted to make a picnic bag to go with it, so here's the finished item. I'll start with the inside before it was all put together so you get an idea of how I spent most of the day.

Room for plates, a chopping board, salt and pepper in their own pocket, and 4 napkins tied to the plate pocket.

I think if I had the plates mugs and chopping board placed once I must have had them placed at least a dozen times, as I worked out measurements.

Knives, forks, and two sizes of spoons, and mugs.

Everything in it's place and the quilt tucked inside, ready for a summer picnic.
I also finished off Hollie's gift and my mum's, but I'll post those either tomorrow or Monday.

Between now and Tuesday, when dh and I leave for our trip, I think I need to go into the sewing room and clean it up. It looks like I've been robbed, with stuff strewn all over the tables, bed and floor. If I'm brave I'll take a photo before I start.

Happy Stitching.
