Stash Enchanement

Saturday saw us head out early for our weekly shopping, which just happened to include a stop at a fabric store. I'm sure none of you are surprised, I know my DH wasn't. With a new baby on the way, this first time Gran wants to make sure that he/she is well covered with warm quilts, blankets and clothes, so some stash enhancement was on top of my list of things that needed to be done that day.
These pretty greens and yellows are what will go into a cot sized quilt (Hollie's choice of colours).

This bear, along with all his other shelf friends will be included in the quilt.

These soft flannels will make lovely swaddling blankets and burp clothes.

And this bassinet sized quilt has already been claimed by Hollie. I knew I made it for a reason....

In Fridays mail tucked in with all the junk mail was a soft envelope that had this little beauty tucked inside from Stephanie. A little tea pouch with a spot on the reverse side to hold a tea bag. Thank you Stephanie, I can't imagine making and sending out 30 of these little creations....
Hopefully later in the week I'll be able to share with you an item that should be on it's way to our home.
Happy Stitching, and thank you for visiting with me, I do enjoy it when you do.

Oh how wonderful. As a person with five children, two of whom are married, I can't wait to be a grandmother. So far, they haven't given me the good news but I do dream... I love the fabrics you chose. What a lucky future little one. Congratulations.

Hi Linda,
I'm not sure if I'll have two post or not. It skipped on me.
I love your fabric choices. My daughter picked out the same colors with white and we did ducks for our first grandbaby.
That Stehpanie is the best hostess for the tea swap.
Keep Stitchen'

I really like those colors. Perfect for girl or boy.

I'm just finishing up the first of 3 baby quilts for nephews/niece who are having first babies. I'm using that butterfly fabric you show in them.

Hello Linda
Congratulalations! Being a grandmother is such a wonderful experience....I feel like I am still 'glowing' as it is only 16 days since my first little grandchild was born. Looks like you will have lots of goodies ready in time for the arrival.
Enjoy this time of preparation and sharing the pregnaancy journey with your family.
