Mark It Off The List - Spring Swap

Remember this pattern? I bought it for a nappy/diaper bag for Hollie.

The last few days I've been working on getting it finished. I quite like Quilts Illustrated patterns, they are simple and easy to follow. I did make a few changes, to give a better finish.

Lots of roomy pockets, both inside and out.
A nice wooden toggle button.

And a clip to hang keys or phone from. I see I need to trim a few more threads.

And finally a wet pack for those wipes.

So that's another thing I can mark off the list.

Haven't you been the busy grandma-to-be! Pretty soft colors. I like pattern reviews. Good to know it's a good one.

Absolutely stunning, Linda! I'm sure any new mother would feel so proud to have such a treasure to carry around with them, and to know that your own mum/mum-in-law had made it would make it extra special!

When I had my children, It was always lovely to be surrounded by bright and cheerful colours and pretty items, it kind of helps you feel a bit more "with it" when all you want to do is fall back into the Land of Nod! he he he..

Your work is so beautiful. I love the fabrics you choose, and you quilt to perfection!

Warm wishes! Vikki x

The bag is gorgeous! I love the "extras". Extras always seem to make the bag a truly usable bag.

Linda, great bag and this is something I haven't done yet. She has a diaper bag, but I was going to make one with her name on it and we just found out what her name will be the day she was born. Thanks for sharing.
