Last year Jenna requested some Christmas cushion covers. I was very slack, and didn't get them done in time for last Christmas. I did manage to get the wall hanging done, but not sent.
I've been working on the covers feverishly these past couple of weeks. She didn't want anything with a winter or snow theme.
So I decided on the usual Christmas reindeer.
As she's a true blue Aussie, what home wouldn't be complete without six white boomers, (kangaroo's). I must admit I was disappointing that Santa's features didn't show up too well on the white background.
Of course you have to have a Santa thrown in for good measure.
In keeping with the Aussie Christmas theme, a couple of Kookaburra's sitting on fence posts.
Of course that only used a very small amount of the jelly roll. I showed you this little peek last week.
Now completed. A not too winter looking Christmas tree wall hanging.
I still have plenty left over to continue with a few more things to go with these ones. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I'll be able to show everything finished.Happy Stitching.

Everything is just beautiful. My face is the Christmas tree wall hanger but I love embroidery too and what a lot of work. Very nice group of work!
Wow, so glad that you are able to use the fabric for a wonderful gift! I love to see the creations that come from the jelly rolls and the charm packs. I love everything that you made. Just beautiful!
Oh my goodness cute, clever, Aussie! :o) LOVE the string trees. I have a string tree idea brewing but yours are so fantastic.
Oh Linda, I love that tree wall hanging!! Is there a pattern for that? Knowing you it was just whipped up out of your head...
Where are you sewing now? How is that baby?
Lucky Jenna! I particularly like the christmas kookaburras. Australians must get fed up with everything christmasy having winter scenes when it is summer there.
Wow - so much you've gotten done. And it is all so lovely. I really like the Christmas tree wallhanging. What a clever and creative use of strings!
I love everything...but especially the Christmas tree wallhanging at the end of the post!
Darling. Jenna has a talented and generous mum! I especially like the stitched kookaburras on the fence. Great work!
Oh golly these are fabulous!!! I love the kookaburras and the Christmas trees and the kangaroos - love them all!
They all look fantastic. I love the wavy line quilting too.
I love that fabric line, and what gorgeous things you came up with! Your reindeer expressions are darling.
Great creations from beginning to end Linda! My favorite is either the Santa pillow or the tree wall hanging - so cute! Love how so much is tied to your Aussie connection.

Hi linda,
they are all fabulous...i especially loved the trees and the kangaroos.
As you know we don't really have traditional Christmas images that make much sense in the hot sun.
Hugs, Sharon

Your Boomers are a HOOT!!! And I just love your trees. Right up my alley!! You are too clever for your own good.
Hi Linda,
Isn't it amazing how much you can sew with one jelly roll. I love to make projects from them and yours are so cute. Gets me in the Christmas spirit to make a gift for someone.
Keep Stitchen'

They are all so cute.
It is difficult to make cushions with such themes...intricate and difficult designs. But looks very good eventually.
